Growing up in Waikiki, there was ever someone coming and going. Across the many visitors that arrive and depart daily, the people who move to Waikiki to cleave out a life for themselves in paradise would always seem to come up and become too. Some people would end up relocating to a different part of the island, some would leave Hawaii to seek their fortunes elsewhere and others would heed the call of home, usually thousands of miles away from Waikiki. My dad called Hawaii the "Country of Goodbyes", especially for those who alive there. The conclusion of 2016 brought another adieu, and this ane by far the almost difficult and impactful one. Our Company founder, mentor and more personally – my father, Wayne Overman, said his final farewell to Hawaii and entered the ultimate Paradise, Heaven, on December v, 2016. My brother Joseph and I were blest beyond measure to take someone similar him as a father, friend, business partner and example in life. In our humble stance, he was as unique and special a person as Hawaii is a place, although nosotros may exist a bit biased! We rest assured, without a shadow of a doubt, that Dad is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in eternal peace and paradise. Wayne believes travel is ane of life's best educations – and agrees with former US President John F. Kennedy's quote, "I learned more than in one summer traveling abroad than I did in all my years at Harvard University." However, Wayne also believes that the study of God's Word trumps all forms of education. He challenges the young people he mentors to read a chapter of Proverbs each solar day to receive wisdom from above. He volunteers his time as a Hawaii church building leader and has also served his country in the armed services.
Wayne says that his greatest life achievement was raising his two awesome children (Haven and Joseph) who are now leaders of Aloha Hawaiian Vacations. He too believes we are to share that which God has blest us with – and his family financially supports 3 Waikiki churches, the annual Resurrection Sunrise Services held on Waikiki Beach, earth missions, plus many mainland Christian ministries; and his family besides cares for many children-in-demand worldwide. Haven Overman Bollinger's beginning trip to Hawaii was in 1982, as a toddler. She visited several more times, prior to moving to Hawaii in 1994, as a young teen. She lived in the centre of Waikiki for the next xv years, before relocating to the coast of North Carolina, where she resides with her husband and girl. Some of her primeval memories are of her parents hosting a weekly "Hawaii Slide Presentation" from their offices in Burlington, NC, and secretly feasting on the macadamia nuts and tea cookies that were served. As a child, she listened to her father, Wayne Overman, talk to clients, negotiate with suppliers and wax poetic near the beauty of Hawaii. She began her career in the Reservations & Itinerary Section, from at that place moved on to Customer Relations and finally progressed to Sales. After the passing of her father, she moved into Sales & Marketing management, where she assists our agents in helping our clients experience Hawaii to its' fullest.
